Here’s what you can get with your Vivint home system
Unlike most smart home companies, Vivint’s smart home systems are customized for renters. Look at a few of the most popular devices and services:
Intrusion detection
Burglar alarms and glass break sensors can warn you when an uninvited guest comes into your rental unit. Receive a notification to your mobile device when an device trips, or manage your devices remotely to let in maintenance or guests when you’re not home.
Environmental safety detectors
Ordinary smoke detectors should come with your rental unit, but you may not get other CO or water alarms. Hang a wireless carbon monoxide detector or flood detector to alert you and Vivint’s monitoring team to catastrophes before it’s too late.
Indoor or doorbell cameras
A security cameras can be wirelessly installed so you can keep an eye on indoor rooms. A doorbell camera allows you view -- and converse with -- guests at the front door. See live HD feeds and notifications about possible lurkers through the mobile security app.
Round-the-clock monitoring
A big benefit of using Vivint is the monitoring agents that back up your alarms. When a sensor triggers, your monitoring team quickly calls you to see if you’re safe. Then they’ll contact the emergency agency.
Home automation components
Smart items, such as smart bulbs, can be added to make your apartment more efficient. Some items like a replacement smart thermostat or smart locks may need prior landlord approval.
The Vivint App
Your York security system is able to be controlled anywhere through the Vivint App. Watch HD camera feeds, remotely arm and disarm alarms and cameras, or set up times for all your smart devices. Then allow texts to your smartphone if a device triggers or a security camera sees suspicious motion.
